hey guys i need ur help

i want to know the best operating system around - i presently use windows XP but i was thinking abt changing it to a better one - like Linux ( recommend a good Linux version ).But it also seem hard to find drivers prg compatible for Linux and stuff and i am also thinking if i should convert my windows xp to windows vista if Linux doesnt work or me ( well what can i say i got tired of xp and wanted a change )
